Use and Care for Natural Aluminum
• Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
• Dishwasher use is not advised as discoloration will occur due to the cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan.
• Natural aluminum pans work well with parchment paper, silicone baking mats, and also traditional butter or shortening and flour methods. When roasting savory foods such as vegetables, butter or cooking oil work well.
• Nylon, wood, or silicone utensils are recommended. Metal utensils and scouring pads may scratch natural aluminum pans, but will not affect baking performance
• Aluminum is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products. These foods may darken, pit or corrode the pan after prolonged use.

Maximum Size for 30" Residential Ovens
These “Nordic Ware Naturals Big Sheets” are the largest sheet pans that will fit into my standard (Kenmore Elite, Double) residential ovens. I have several of these and use them often. (I am a baker.) In addition to baking directly on them (matted), I use them to hold smaller cake pans. I have one dedicated to a dozen 4”x3” pans, and another dedicated (and perfectly matched) to my VEVOR Pizza Steel, 20" x 14" x 3/8" Pizza Steel. The rim of the sheet pan helps me to transport the tremendously heavy pizza steel when I absolutely must remove it from my lower oven. I hand-wash only. Their large size makes washing cumbersome; however, the sink sprayer facilitates the process well. Because I keep them well-matted, food rarely contacts their surface, greatly decreasing the necessity for re-washing the sheet pans. I can simply remove the mats; I replace them for successive bakes when necessary. I do not bake tomato-based items to avoid pitting.
